A New Year, a fresh start.....

I don't know why, but every year I get sentimental for the passing year. Sad that it has whizzed by so fast, sad for the times gone by. This year I'm in a different state. I'm ready! Bring on 07'! Woohoo (streamers, blowers, confetti)! I've had a great year, but for some reason I am very excited to see what this next year brings.

06" saw many things in my life.....no more diapers, big boy beds, easy fun family trips, my oldest off to kindergarten, my youngest x2 off to preschool, the launch of my website, soccer (~GOAL~), a job change for my husband, new paint on the inside of my house.

What will the coming year bring??? I'm excited and pensive. I know a new baby will join the family in late May or early June (my SIL). I know T-Ball starts in March. I know we will take swimming lessons this summer. I know we are going to Disneyland in a few weeks. I know we have dentist and Dr's appointments. Beyond that I don't know.....it's the exciting and the scary, the what ifs (good and bad). But I feel ready to take them on, whatever they be. Come on 07', hit me with your best shot!

I found a quote from Emily Dickinson that I am going to try and have as my motto for next year (and hopefully the rest of my life) that I think I will share. "Find ecstasy in life-the mere sense of living is joy enough." I think that really means a lot. In a troubled time we need to remember that joy is still easy to be found in a sad and scary world. Look at your dog's wet nose, listen to your kids laugh, smell the blooming flower in your yard, put on your favorite music and dance, visit a museum, take a long drive. It's the little things that add up. Whatever makes you happy, just do it!

Happy New Year to all of you! I hope 07' looks and feels exciting to you.
